Annual Kawartha Annual Art Fair

Saturday August 4th - Sunday August 5th, 2012

Artist booth at the Annual Kawartha Art FairThe inaugural event in 2010 was a great success for vendors and guests alike. Local artists including potters, glassware makers, watercolour artists, stone and wood sculptors, jewellers joined together to demonstrate and sell their work.

This outdoor show on the shore of Emily Creek, by Sturgeon Lake, has a gentle view of the local ospreys and wildlife. There is Sculptor Leo Watson talking about his workno admission fee, plenty of free parking a free draw and an area next to gardens for a relaxed atmosphere. There are daily demonstrations by the artists and an interactive pottery experience.

Our daily Raku firings are offered allow guests to watch their own creation be fired and ready to take home that afternoon. We hope to see you here in 2012 for our 3rd annual Art Fair.

The fair supports Five Counties Children's Centre by way of donations at the entrance and monies collected from the raku firings. This money helps create art packages for teaching programs for the kids of the area.
