Each Summer or Spring, all second-year students have the unique opportunity to travel abroad as a group to conduct ethnographic fieldwork under the guidance of a faculty supervisor. During the preceding Spring semester, students prepare by developing their research proposals and refining their methodological approaches within the course 鈥楨thnographic Research Methods鈥�. The fieldwork allows them to apply ethnographic methods in practice while experiencing life in a new cultural setting. All travel expenses are covered by the program.
